I got this machine (quiet bigger than the photo shown here, I didn't read the measurements) this week and it is very built and packed. The manual also has a few good recepies (better than Ben & Jerrys, waste of money!) Cuisinart ICE40BCU Ice Cream Maker Duo is FANTASTIC! Love it, perfect for any ice cream and great for chopping up your favourite chocolate bar and popping it in.   BUT... I am not a chef neither an expert making ice cream, on the manual book there is no where tell you to add the prepared liquid from top slowly as the machine running. Of course the cups are frozen and I placed the contents in then I started the machine and no action due to liquid iced up in it immediately. Luckily my common sense worked then and I stopped the machine emptied the contents and waited a bit for the iced up liquid the soften the restart. I found this a little annoying. It would only take one sentence to warn people on the manual about this. I could have ended up breaking the machine on the first go. Just BEWARE, DO NOT PUT THE LIQUID YOU'VE PREPARED INTO THE FROZEN BOWLS BUR POOR AS THE MACHINE IS WORKING. SLOWLY, SLOWLY and make sure do not fill up all the way as ice cream rises up to the top. Start with small quantity... Good luck, ice cream I made was very nice after all. A great machine and the price.
